Pastor Kola Akinbi
Pastor Kolawole Akinbi, fondly known as Pastor Kola (PKA), is the Senior Pastor of The House of Resurrection Parish (THORP) of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) and currently serves as the Assistant Province Pastor (CSR) in RCCG UK.
Born in Lagos, Pastor Kola’s life has been marked by a deep commitment to God’s call and a passion for serving people. With an Advanced Diploma in Theology from Middlesex University, alongside further studies in Information Technology, Leadership, and Promoting Independence, he combines sound biblical teaching with practical wisdom for life and ministry.
Pastor Kola is the visionary behind several initiatives, including the annual God is Able Conference, the Commanf your Morning Prayer, and humanitarian missions such as the Ugandan Mission. Through these platforms, he has impacted lives across nations with the message of hope, faith, and transformation in Christ.
Married for over 30 years to Florence Adetutu Akinbi (Tutu), who co-pastors with him, they are blessed with three wonderful children. Together, they are passionate about building strong families, equipping believers for purposeful living, and raising a generation rooted in God’s Word.
Pastor Kola is known for his dynamic preaching, compassionate leadership, and unwavering faith in God’s power to transform lives. His heart beats for revival, discipleship, and the advancement of God’s Kingdom.
Pastor Tutu Akinbi
Pastor Florence Adetutu Akinbi, fondly called Tutu, is an ardent wordsmith who expresses herself through prose, poetry, and thought-provoking conversations. She does not shy away from addressing challenging and sensitive issues. Her passion lies in ensuring that difficult topics are openly and transparently discussed—particularly within the church—so that lasting and effective solutions can be found and applied in society at large.
Tutu holds a first degree in English from Nigeria and Postgraduate Diplomas in Law and Legal Practice from BPP Law School, London.
Her professional journey is both rich and diverse. She began her career as an Editor, before moving into the banking sector, where she rose through the ranks to become a Branch Manager at the Commercial Bank of Africa. After relocating to the United Kingdom, she worked with National Westminster Bank before transitioning into the public sector.
For the past 13 years, she has served in Children’s Social Care Quality Assurance as a Conference Secretary, following four years in two agencies of the Lord Chancellor’s Department as an Executive Officer and currently a Qualified Social Work.
Beyond her professional and ministerial callings, Pastor Tutu is a devoted wife and mother. She has been married to Pastor Kola Akinbi for 30 years, and together they are blessed with three children.
